Securing a Vulnerable Job Site After Winter Damage
Following the harsh winter of 2007–2008, a home renovation site just west of Harper Avenue sat exposed for weeks. Snowmelt left muddy ruts across the yard, and the lack of perimeter security meant tools kept disappearing overnight. With brick bungalows from the 1930s lining the block, neighbors were growing uneasy about trespassers cutting through yards. The contractor needed immediate protection that respected the neighborhood’s historic character while deterring further losses.
We installed a 6-foot chain-link temporary fence with privacy slats within two hours of the call, anchoring it securely despite the saturated ground. Our crew used rubber-tired equipment to avoid tearing up the lawn and matched gate placement to the original driveway access. The site stayed secure for the remainder of the project, and the homeowner reported zero incidents after installation.
They showed up fast, didn’t tear up my yard, and finally gave us peace of mind.
